Muslum Gurses show at Rumeli's will also be featuring another prominent Turkish folk singer/comedian Yunus Bulbul. With his surname literally meaning nightingale, Yunus Bulbul songs rose to fame during 70's thanks to the massive migration from East to Western metropols in Turkey. He made around 20 movies during 80's to break the military junta's ban on arabesque music during 80's. The singers were not allowed to sing Arabesque songs in TV shows on government TV channel in 80's, however the movies in which arabesque songs are played were permitted to be broadcasted. Yunus Bulbul released 36 CDs, 4 LPs, 4 45s and composed over 350 songs. He has also starred in 64 movies and 450 TV series.
