Mirkelam in MelbourneThe Melbourne Turkish music scene is becoming livelier with flocks of Turkish singers coming down under. Muslum Gurses, Mercan Dede, Yunus Bulbul and Mirkelam.

Popstars whose fame have worn out are coming down to Australia to sing at bars. Mirkelam, who has rose to fame thanks to his one-night-sensation hit "Her gece" has been compared to Tarkan with his eccentric style and catchy music. However, he followed other "new" Tarkans to being a standard act and finally ending up performing at a Melbourne Bar.

Nevertheless it is great news for Australian Turks who, compared to German Turks flying to Istanbul for a weekend to see a concert, rarely get chances to see Turkish live music acts.

Mirkelam is performing October 28 with support acts DJ Tansu, DJ Serkan and Huddy.

The event will be held at CHASERS, VIC at 09:00 PM with tickets being sold at $60.
