French Le Monde "Turkish schools good example for immigrants"

altThe success of the Turkish schools in Germany was praised by the Prestigious French newspaper Le Monde. Showcasing the article on the cover, Le monde pointed out that Independent Turkish schools in Germany that are sponsored by Turkish immigrants are good examples that should be followed by the immigrants in France and other countries.

Marie Elisabeth Borne of Le Monde made a research on Turkish independent schools in Stuttgart, Dortmund, Cologne and Berlin. She pointed out that alongside German, these schools taught in Turkish, French and English and the schools used technology in education to the maximum level.

Le Monde also stressed that Germany had the most unfair education system in the Western world and that the Turkish schools were filling the gap that was opened by the discriminative methods of the Germany education system. The newspaper also mentioned that the unfair system in Germany prevented students from immigrant families from having the same level of education with their German counterparts and that the system gave an average German student 6 times more advantage than an average immigrant secondary school student for high school education. "..instead of waiting for the German government to correct this mistake, Turkish immigrants took initiative and started their own systems.." said Marie Elisabeth Borne of Le Monde.

The newspaper also mentioned that these Turkish schools were solely sponsored by the 3rd generation Turkish immigrants and yet they were more succesfull than the German schools. The article also underlines that the schools also played an active and an important role in integrating the Turkish immigrant community into German society.

Cologne University instructor Wolf Dietrich Bukow Cologne Dialogschule who is the advisor of the Cologne Turkish School said "The school was to offer only French and English however I advised the school management to offer Turkish lessons to students as this would bring multicultural wealth to Germany."  and "Turkish schools play a pivotal role in integration of immigrants a lot in fact the methods used here should be applied in all German schoools"
