Liam Neeson considering change of faith

Liam Neeson touched by the Adhan in IstanbulHollywood Star Liam Neeson is contemplating giving up his Roman Catholic beliefs and converting into Islam, following a trip to Istanbul, Turkey.


During Neeson's recent filming in Turkey, The 59 year old actor says that he was moved by the Islamic call to prayers. Liam Neeson, was raised in Northern Ireland as a faithful Roman catholic and was named after their local priest.

 

According to Neeson, the call to prayer which occurs five times a day, drove him a bit crazy for the first week. However, it wasn't long enough before it became the most pleasant sound to his ears.

There are over 4,000 mosques in the wonderful city of Istanbul.Neeson was absolutely stunned by how beautiful they can be. The actor gained so much knowledge about Islam about he spent some time filming in Istanbul.

However, the star has recently spoken about his personal opinion in regards to religion. He claimed that although he's had his moments where he would question religion, and the existance of God, he was constantly reading books on God and belief.

In the year of 2010, Neeson was criticised after stating that in the film"The Chronicles Of Narnia lion",Aslan who he had provided the voice for, was not based on Christ as Cs Lewis had claimed but in actuality was based on the entire spiritual leaders including Muhammed.

His lastest movie, "The Grey" is scheduled to be released on February 16 in the UK.
