Galatasaray decided not to renew socceroos Harry Kewell and Lucas Neill's contracts. The new Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim is aiming to build a hard-working squad with more ambitious and younger players. Kewell had spent most of last season injured and Neill has been in the centre of the incompetent Galatasaray defence that made an infamous name by conceding more goals than the number of goals scored in a season for the first time in its history.
